3-6 Grade Smash Brothers/Mario Kart Event
Thursday 21 January 2010 at 1:50 pmOn January 28, 4:30-7:30 pm, in the Main Library Youth Activity Center, there will be a Smash Brothers Brawl and Mario Kart tournament for 3-6 graders. Other games will also be available for open play.

Rock The Competition
Monday 14 December 2009 at 09:49 amAre you ready to rock!?! On December 19th, 1-4 pm, we will be holding our annual Rock Band/Guitar Hero tournament for middle and high school students. Form your 3-4 person groups and compete on one or both. Prizes will go to the best band on both games. Other games will be available for open gaming.

National Gaming Day @ Your Library
Monday 02 November 2009 at 12:15 pmCome to the Main Library on Saturday, November 14, to celebrate National Gaming Day @ Your Library. From 9-12, we will be holding a Pokemon tournament for grades 3-6. Each participant will need a Nintendo DS and a copy of Diamond, Pearl or Platinum. Registration is required for this event. From 1-4 on November 14, middle and high school students can play and compete on Smash Brothers, Rock Band, Guitar Hero, DDR and more. Smash Brothers winners will get a chance to represent West Bloomfield and compete online against libraries around the United States. Other non-video games will also be available for play like Magic the Gathering, Talisman, Axis and Allies and more.
September Brawl Tournament
Tuesday 29 September 2009 at 4:34 pmThanks to those of you who managed to make it out on Saturday for the tournament and for those of you who didn't there's still 2 more dates in this series so you're not out of it yet. Congratulations to jay, ham, and griffin c the top 3 finishers of that event. Remember the series points are cumulative (100 pts per loss, 200 pts per win and bonus points for top 2 finishers of each bracket).

Smash Brothers Brawl and Madden 10
September 26, October 24 and November 14
1-4 pm, Main Library Meeting Room
This year, Smash Brothers will be double elimination and finals will be the best 2 out of 3. The season will run from September-May too, which should give everyone a better chance to prove that they are the best.
Fall means football, and to celebrate the game, we are holding a mini-Madden series. This one-on-one competition will run from September-January, and the two gamers with the best win/loss records will square off in February for the library's first ever Super Bowl!
Battle of the Bands 2
December 19, 1-4 pm, Main Library Meeting Room
Form your three person band and come to the library to compete for rock supremacy. Competitions will be held on Guitar Hero and Rock Band, and prizes will be awarded to the best bands.

Summer Gaming
Friday 31 July 2009 at 10:29 amA big thanks to everyone who attended one of our video game events over the summer. All of the events were well attended, and at the Smash Brothers Brawl event on July 23, some rule changes for the upcoming fall/winter series were discussed, which will be unveiled soon. The Smash Brothers Leader Board and Standings page have been updated to reflect the results of the July 23 event.
Drop-in open gaming is still available for teens this summer on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 3-6 PM, through August 24. Stop by and keep those gaming skills sharp in preparation for the fall tournaments!
